Licetto washable matte paint

A washable matte interior paint that stays matte from kitchen to bathroom and beyond

Description

Do you dream of a powdery matte wall but worry about the scratches and stains? Licetto is a washable interior matte paint that gives you the confidence to go matte in any room, even the humid rooms. Licetto offers a velvety soft, flat matte surface that doesn’t reflect light and hides imperfections like brushstrokes. It is designed for any interior room where practicality matters alongside appearance — including humid rooms, high-traffic spaces, and commercial environments. Unlike chalk or mineral paints that require a separate topcoat to become cleanable, Licetto’s formulation is inherently washable: resistant to dirt, moisture, scratches, scuffs, and stains, and water-repellent once fully cured. It is available in 200+ naturally pigmented colors with zero solvents and zero VOCs.Be it in your home kitchen or any commercial space, Licetto is a durable, eco-friendly matte paint solution.

What the finish looks like

Licetto produces a velvety smooth, flat matte surface with no texture variation or visual movement. Color is uniform and consistent across the wall. It offers a clean, contemporary finish, precise and resolved. Unlike most washable paints, it does not develop sheen at the point of contact when cleaned. It suits modern interiors, Scandinavian-influenced spaces, and any room where the paint should recede and the furniture or lighting should lead. It is available across Pure & Original’s full color range.

Frequently Asked Questions about Licetto

Visit our FAQ page for more information.

  • What is matte paint and why is Licetto better?

Unlike glossy or satin finishes, matte paint has a velvety soft, flat surface that doesn’t reflect light and hides imperfections like brushstrokes. While Licetto provides this same luxurious matte paint finish, it is uniquely known for its high washability and resistance to dirt, moisture, stains, and scratches. Licetto wall paint is ideal for various spaces, including humid environments like kitchens and bathrooms. With zero VOCs and solvent-free composition, Licetto is an eco-friendly choice for interior design projects.

  • Is matte paint washable?

Unlike other matte finishes, Licetto is renowned for its washable properties, making it suitable for areas prone to dirt, moisture, or stains. Always refer to the product’s technical specifications, care guidelines, and recommended cleaning methods to ensure the best results and maintain the integrity of the matte finish. Licetto is not prone to shiny spots after rubbing.

  • Does Licetto need a topcoat or sealer?

No. The washability is built into the formulation. Unlike Classico, no separate protective topcoat is needed for standard interior use.

  • How do you clean matte paint walls?

While matte paint is harder to clean than glossy paint, Licetto is a washable matte paint. Use a mild detergent mixed with water and a sponge or cloth to clean your matte paint walls. Do not use aggressive bleaching agents. Remove tough stains like wine or grease immediately using a slightly damp cloth and our recommended Pure & Original Super Cleaner diluted with water (1:20 ratio).

  • Is Licetto matte paint an eco-friendly paint?

Licetto matte paint is considered eco-friendly. It is a water-based, solvent-free formula with zero VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), contributing to a healthier indoor environment.

  • Can you use matte paint in bathrooms and kitchens?

Generally, most matte paints should not be used in humid environments like kitchens and bathrooms. Moisture can damage paint, penetrate the drywall, and cause mold or mildew growth. But the good news is that Licetto matte paint is safe to use on interior walls and ceilings in humid environments. It is water-repellent and washable after two weeks of the paint setting in meaning that it is resistant to dirt, moisture, stains, and scratches.

  • What is the difference between Classico and Licetto?

Classico, a chalk-based paint, provides an ultra-matte, powdery finish. The chalk component makes it powdery, but it also makes it more susceptible to dirt and scratches. It’s washable but not highly scrubbable.

Although Licetto also has a matte finish, it’s highly washable without developing shiny spots, making it the perfect alternative to Classico for high-traffic, wet, and commercial spaces.

For ceilings, we recommend Classico.  Classico is also an excellent product for low to medium-traffic spaces.

Choose wisely to fit your space’s unique needs!
